Thread regarding Molina Healthcare Inc. layoffs

Wasteful spending in IT & Operations by CIO "A D"

Highlighting one of the reasons among many in Molina causing this huge Margin issues. CIO "A D" hires from his pet IT vendor Infinite and lay offs us full time IT and business operation employees. Many of us in IT & Operation management know CIOs connection with Infinite and what’s their benefits from them but remained to keep mum fearing backlash. He indirectly forced us (management) to take contractors of Infinite and favored Infinite to get many useless projects (some were necessary but many were just there to give them business). He has milked Molina a lot causing this huge margin issues for Molina now as he gave tons of useless projects to Infinite and indirectly gets benefitted. COO to whom CIO reports, probably knows about it and possibly is friends with Infinite too obviously for mutual gains. They are firing employees now after doing a bad job of not managing the margins correctly and causing excessive spending in IT and overall company operations. They should be the first one to be fired as they caused excessive spending as someone said in comments in another post about the spend in Azure, useless Upgrades in pretext of modernization, New Products, AI spending to name a few. Just imagine, we are serving the poorest of poor folks in USA by doing R&D in AI, building them shiny apps etc. using companies like Infinite, offshoring the Jobs and paying company like Infinite with USA government $$ which is meant for the poorest of poor Medicaid beneficiaries.

@2cq If this is true that he has been fired in pretext of joining some other company, then all the postings here is correct about Amir. Finally someone in Molina SLT has taken note on these posts on Layoff.com about Amir & Infinite and kicked out Amir gracefully by forcing him to resign. The power of crowd sourcing on layoff.com!

@28d not until every last employee is replaced by India. Look up his name and lawsuit and you'll see exactly the kind of person he is.

@19k But the website indicated https://example.com/infinitepresident (replace example by tinyurl) indicates Cognizant as the vendor. Was the Infinite President Himachal earlier with Cognizant in 2015 when he was fired from there due to this case of entertaining senior IT leaders in BlueCross and then joined Infinite? That makes sense now as to how Himachal & Amir together are at it again! I heard even Amir was let go from Xerox/Conduent due to his association with Infinite. The greed never ends.

I have no idea who you’re talking about, but I think Failsforce was one of the biggest money pits we’ve seen in years. So much in a software that barely works. All of the vendors and outsourcing we have is crazy, I.e., helix, Infosys, IT.

@es are you serious? You people sound like the same ones who accuse your home HOA of stealing and going on lavish vacations. I think leadership has done a good job moving the company forward. Where they have failed is hiring/firing some of the most incompetent workforce I’ve seen in decades. Let’s get that door revolving…

@dt Technology initiatives by favoring his friends company Infinite only and by offshoring all jobs? The point here is wasteful spending in IT by favoring his friends company Infinite which is not even public unlike other vendors at Molina. When a company like Infinite is not Public, they can easily pass on benefits to Amir or his family/friend unlike public companies. Government money to Molina is for Medicaid/Medicare members and not to a vendor who offshores all our jobs.

These ad hominem comments and attacks on an individual sounds irrational and do not add substantive value. Over the past five years, Molina has demonstrated strong growth, strategic leadership, and a consistent commitment to innovation, as reflected in its stock performance. Under the CIO’s leadership, technology initiatives are well aligned with business priorities, supporting both operational excellence and sustainable growth. While the current dip is temporary, Molina's continued focus on technology and innovation to drive cost efficiencies, positions it well for a rebound soon

@bb If he was honest no one would have complained about him so many times on the board. Complaint's against CIO Amir Desai is maximum on this board among all leaders. There are so many leaders in Molina, but only Amir has the maximum complaints of cheating and favoritism towards his vendor Infinite for personal gains.

I’m just an honest hard working gentleman. I’m not sure why the staff is on here complaining. As was said before- you all have nice workspaces, premium coffee, good PTO, and 500 bonus here and there. Should be happy. But most of all you need to get back to work team.

Seems like a bit of a reach but you have been posting about how much you hate the "A D" guy for months. At this point when you post about anonymous or not you just seem bitter and sad.
