Can anyone confirm if the following dates are planned surplus announcement dates?
4/22/26
6/19/26
8/19/26
10/2/26
11/4/26
I just saw something that makes me pretty sure these are planned surplus announcement dates.

@27d So you think! Just wait. Craft too will be cut.
@emy some people were notified early from the account lockout a couple weeks ago. Some were asked to move across the country and declined. Some were just added to the list last week. This will be a deep cut.
Sooo, if announced on 6/19, would the direct people being let go be informed? Wouldn’t work groups be informed some time beforehand if they are affected?
@6bn are you one of them?
@6bn if it’s CWA, then you know it’s g-y
This makes sense since we have so many useless management employees!
@24h that's for management not union folks!!!!
Dates given on the announcements, but any information on targeted garages, areas, departments? Asking for a friend
I hope so amd they call my name !
@ak I really can't say other than seeing something online that provided future dates for meetings regarding layoffs.
Does anyone know if any is these are in California ? Or if they are ESB vs ESRO?
Those dates would apply for any and all non bargained for employees!
Per union contract we have dates set in advance about 15 days before the start of each quarter for announcements of pending surplus!
Sorry your in management!
Shedding dead weight.
@OP Accurate. Five more surpluses in 2026. HR pdf I'm looking at shows notification dates of 2/16, 4/20, 6/17, 8/18, 10/1 & 11/2. You might be seeing a more updated version as we all know 2/16 was President's Day and the announcement went out 2/18.
OP, what is the something you saw, and where?
bottom line ATT is at 130K employee's and the target is 85k. I would honestly say layoffs are going to be constant. Verizon has 85K employees now so we have some serious catching up to do.
The road to 75K personnel continues.
