@1zz There’s a lot of anger coming through in your post, which is understandable given the timing of what happened to your role. Getting impacted right before Christmas is rough. Were you offered a VSP, or was this a straight layoff?
Layoffs are never easy, but they also don’t happen in a vacuum. Teradata didn’t make these decisions randomly they’re part of an effort to streamline and focus the business, whether people like it or not. These decisions while difficult make us stronger and I think we can still appreciate the culture here.
It might be worth taking a step back and honestly evaluating your last few years here. Were you still operating with the same urgency and drive, or had things slowed down? Anger is a natural reaction, but it doesn’t replace selfreflection. Everyone benefits from asking whether they were truly adding value or just occupying a seat.
