@OP Oh, we’ve got these incredible managers, really top people, they say: look at brilliant engineers and go, “Hmm, yes, resources.” Resources! Like they’re laser printers or boxes of clips. Fantastic thinking, really cutting-edge stuff. You’ve got humans solving complex problems, building amazing things, and these geniuses reduce them to line items on a spreadsheet. It’s a beautiful system! So efficient, so cold, so totally lacking in basic human decency. Morale? Never heard of it. Respect? Optional. But hey, at least the quarterly report looks tremendous, doesn’t it? Absolutely tremendous.

@1zq AppWorld Vegas this year. Folks, you wouldn’t believe it, truly incredible, and not in a good way. The waste? Unreal. Mountains of it. I’ve seen big waste, the best waste, but this? This is something special. You’ve got people walking around throwing out phrases like “synergistic AI pipelines” and “hyper-scalable neural ecosystems,” nobody knows what it means, not even them, but they say it with confidence, tremendous confidence. These people are so disconnected, it’s like they’re living in a metaverse of their own buzzwords. “Oh, we’re optimizing human-centric paradigms”. What does that even mean? Back in the real world, people are just trying to get by. But here? It’s all lanyards, keynote selfies, and garbage, so much garbage. Honestly, if they could recycle buzzwords, we’d solve the whole problem overnight.
