With Microsoft offering voluntary early retirement along with a bunch of other companies, why does CapOne not follow?
Quick way to unload a bunch of people, especially from Discover.

@1ss Talking about early retirement. So, only open to people above certain age and tenure.
For sure on the DFS side where there are a lot of dinosaurs, it would be great opportunity to offload a lot of cost within a very short time.
@a4 the issue with voluntary layoffs is your best people will leave. Your worst employees who can’t find another job will stay.
Data engineering teams are doing well, We are having good times. If somebody wants to join Data engineering teams we are good for next 5 yrs
Horrible, toxic company. It's like you're prey just waiting for the axe... Very said as the posts on boards like linked in have so many people saying they have been let go and an equal or more people so excited to say they just joined C1 in their new job. What is wrong with this company?! For those of us just hanging in there, you work extremely hard, feel like you're constantly being left out of the loop, or there's a "plan" your leader knows but lies to you and says they know nothing about... toxic, just toxic... So what rich non-fair bank announcement will happen in may? sad...
This poster has no common sense. Capone wants to fire as many people as possible with little seversnce as possible. Their goal is to make it so hard that you can't work there until retirement.
Stack ranking is much cheaper minimum severance.
Wish they would. COF is nothing but a TOXIC mess. DFS was a million times better as a company. It was great 8 years while it lasted before COF took over.
They should definitely offer voluntary layoffs. Morale would be better and those like myself who only work 2 hours a week waiting to be pip’d out can get what we deserve quicker
