Thread regarding Cognizant layoffs

Layoffs on the Horizon in 2026

Cognizant is going to lay off up to 20% of the USA workforce in favor of moving roles to offshore. Going to happen in next 6-8 weeks. They will replace roles with entry level. Management pyramid is starting to look real skewed.

@1r8 it's 1% of the global workforce, not just the US, so about 4000 employees total. Layoff.com is reliable for some companies but not for others...

Likely more cuts in the cybersecurity groups coming as part of this -- to groups that were reduced heavily in past layoffs. Further reducing ability to detect and respond to any security incident. Hackers come on in.

Also Cognizant is a US company, but yet aiming to get to less than 10% in the US. Nothing wrong with being global but shouldn't a US based company have a bigger presence in their home country?!?!

Is this a fact? Has it been confirmed? If so, how many employees in the US will be laid off? Are they offering severance packages?
