@1nz Do you know what's the difference of package being offered for voluntary retirement vs severance layoff?

@41e What Qualcomm needs is more managers, directors and VPs and fewer engineers. I am sure investors will appreciate. Come on Qualcomm do not stop, now is the time!

look at the stock. Its tumbling down faster than the gravity of jupiter could pull. CA will definitely throw his weight in, fire some unsuspecting engineers, jack up the stock and take his weight back and add some more.

@2tc unless the company reduce their cost structure I.e reducing h/c by 10%, the stock is hosed.

Just had a meeting with director and was "impacted". There are more to come and across the board.

The Principals, Senior Director and VP promotions in PTE has been sad for the last 3 years and did not make sense. They have done nothing for the company. We are wasting money on having too much managers and not enough workers that actually do engineering work. Too much politics ki-ling the company. Promoting friends, family, and people from their village.

What about WiFi? That department is full of big titles, low output, and a very toxic culture.

Too many people have been promoted to senior staff, principal, director, and higher roles. This organization is too top-heavy and needs a significant reduction again in the SD.

What massive layoffs every 2 years ? There is no evidence of this.

If we look at the WARN Act declarations for Q. There are massive layoffs every two years… last year there was not a massive layoff so 2026 will see about 2k exit… this is just going off of data
