UP does not have any foreman at all or general foreman at all. They got rid of them 5 years ago hope that UP doesn’t take over NS they will start shutting down yards and trust me a ton of layoffs. Good luck everyone.

@1jf They have cut Car Dept down to virtually nothing.
Only R.I.P. track, wheel truck, and T.C.I. (traveling car inspector), jobs are left.
Nothing but n.i.'s, impact wheels, and wrecked cars.
A small amount of run-thru, C1a air tests.
Contractors and utility men do most of the work.....

UP will be intimately familiar with our operations and be behind the scenes planning and directing the dismantling of NS well before the keys are handed over. After all, it’s their company now. Just not officially until after all the pesky formalities are done and out of the way. As time draws near we can count on seeing small adjustments with the best yet to come shortly after the takeover.
