Vote Out the Board of Directors in August 2024, We Should Have Already

The best chance to affect change would be to rally members to replace the worst folks on the Board with people who will hold our executives accountable and have a proven track record to turn the company around.

Unless that happened, and it doesn't sound like it did, we're stuck with a Board that appears to be incapable of recognizing the existential threat to USAA that Wayne and his cronies represent.

If you are in a position to do so, please start planning for next year's vote to overturn the Board. As rates increase, our coverage diminishes, our losses climb, and the regulator complaints come in, there may be enough anger to vote in a better Board that can right the ship from the top down.

Super helpful, thank you (not sarcasm). So essentially for this to happen, there would need to be

  1. a somewhat unprecedented, coordinated effort to drive increased attendance by members through some sort of outreach process
  1. go through the process of nominating a candidate, and then
  1. ensuring someone/people on the call would have a voice to stop the Board from trying to commit any fraudulent actions to bypass the vote.

Sounds like it couldn’t have happened in time for this year anyway. Like I said in my OP, I don’t think I’m knowledgeable or influential enough to drive that, but if there is someone out there with the passion for it, I know you’d have quite a few willing Members and Employees who have no confidence in this board and will vote as such.

Attended the Board Meeting last Friday, as a member and as an Employee. Every member was notified of the date and time. It was very quick as their actions, I’m sure, we’re planned well in advance. There are well over 10 Million Members of USAA and I believe a little more than 100,000 members voted. I voted “Abstain” on each board candidate as there was no option to vote “against.”

It’s the same as in most elections. People rant and rave, but when the rubber hits the road…they’re nowhere to be found!

Voting has ended, hasn't it? The Board meeting was last week.

@uhh+1ontC5bW I agree! This company has lost 50% of its equity in the last 3 years.
