That's torture. The stress never lets up. I'd take a few big and quick rounds over that any day.

Things are truly into chaos now. On one hand CFO announced price increase which led to panic orders. Now all plants are blasted with orders with enormous backlog. OTIF performance will be impacted.
@1ax the thing is, they announce the layoffs for a date in the future (NOTE - this is an EXAMPLE ONLY -I have no idea about future layoffs!): i.e. if they announce layoffs in late April, the official separation date might not be till mid june. I think the June date is the date that the warn notice if filed under.
If it’s big enough it’s searchable in advance by looking at WARN letters that need to be submitted to the state. There aren’t any out there right now.
Earnings call is right around the corner though.
I am close to retirement age and I am actually hoping to receive the severance package. Give it to me billy
There will be another round of layoffs in q2 for sure. Right now the MARS consultancy is proposing the headcount to the executives. Once decision is made the kn1fe will come down fast. Sit tight.
Plant Engineering, for one.
This is 3M, we should expect a big one every year. If anyone has some insights on the next one, please share.
@a9 I don't have that information. I mentioned to a high level aquainntance that there are low number layoffs happening but they are keeping below the 50/mo to avoid reporting. I was told that there is a normal (reportable) one coming. I didn't ask for more info because it probably isn't defined yet. This person has never been wrong. It will likely be tied to earnings report.
@a7 when and for which groups?
A big (regular) one is coming.
