Anyone concerned about the Jan Town Hall meeting? Apparently Cengage Learning Platform will be introduced.

@257 yes in sales
@255+1kf3mcx6j - you heard about org restructure?
@1zt no, that was today unfortunately
@22s+1kf3mcx6j - Do you even work at Cengage? The entire meeting was about introducing a single platform, i.e., Cengage Learning Platform.
@OP once again proven as Fake News - there was no CengAge Learning Platform announced. Regular meeting, actually a very positive one at that.
@1zh This satire makes IPS look like amateur hour.
Well done!
The meeting didn't discuss org restructure, so I say it's a plus.
It was a great town hall, company is moving in the right direction, getting alignment and aligning to customer needs and outcomes, launching new cool AI products, receiving incredible feedback from customers and starting to translate into better GTM motion. Truly an exciting time to be working for Cengage.
Please update us on the Town Hall. Thanks!
That was an amazing Town Hall, love the new focus and direction.
@167 IPS has been posting since this site started. He’s full on satire but every once in a while he(I guess it could be a she) posts real informative stuff. He has the chops.
IPS=Legend
Greetings,
It seems many here are not fluent in CenTalk™. Instead of an exciting post-Davos digital reorganization, a credo workshop should be offered.
Full Stop!
PS - I am not being deported.
@161 Very well said - probably IPS themselves posting this positive review of themselves. Nicely done.
For those who don't seem to know, the posts from IPS are satiric by design. Just when I thought he or she had lost their touch we get a new IPS post that's on par with some of the better ones from the past. It does read like an AI-generated pro-Cengage post (impressive) and then there's the superscript TM next to CenForce (clever). I salute you, IPS!
The post by IPS is the most AI slop I've read in a while. Must be a cengage employee considering how many company wide meetings they waste to teach how to use AI terribly
"Expect the rollout to be intellectually challenging, and be prepared to take on new and exciting tasks. More importantly, remember to always ask "why". Question the way we do business and know that everyone, from the newly hired intern to the veteran in the C-suite, has a voice and the ability to affect change. It is time to get on the train!"
yup, I'm expecting more workload with the same compensation, since more people will be laid off.
It's so obvious what MH and his peers at other legacy companies are doing. They know they have a relatively captive market (shrinking and under-pricing pressure), but captive.
They know professors and teachers are lazy, outside of the classroom.
They know that as long as the student loan he---n is still there, that there will be some business, even in the age of enrollments falling off a cliff.
So the goal is to race to the bottom as fast as possible and capture that ground with a profitable (profit is the only thing that matters) albeit significantly smaller company.
So take what has transpired since 2007 and accelerate it dramatically.
Thats where Cengage is. There is no growth. All efficiencies and cost management.
@px You have to admit the TM above Cenforce is pretty freaking awesome. Well done!
@ra bruh - where in any of these posts did anyone say Cengage is number one? Another stupid comment that isn't connected to anything anyone is even talking about. Why don't you create a new post and call it, "Cengage for Dummies" - you would be number one in that one.
If cengage is the undisputed leader than why is MGH still number one? Good one, BC! The math isn’t mathing here.
@mp bruh, you are a complete wack job.
Greetings,
Cengage continues to ride on the bleeding edge of the Ed-Tech vertical - a space it redefined with the groundbreaking success that was Cengage Unlimited and continued with wins across the industry.
With the advent of AI, we are in an amazing time when we can become even more efficient while maintaining the exceptional quality and value that have defined the brand as the undisputed industry leader.
I believe the meeting will be a rollout of a major move to streamline our business. Making the company stronger, improving collaboration, and passing even more savings and value to our customers.
Some of these changes will be disruptive, but members of the CenForce™ need to fully commit. Let me be clear, Cengage is a mission-based company where the best and brightest whose ethos aligns with its long-term strategic goals will thrive.
Expect the rollout to be intellectually challenging, and be prepared to take on new and exciting tasks. More importantly, remember to always ask "why". Question the way we do business and know that everyone, from the newly hired intern to the veteran in the C-suite, has a voice and the ability to affect change. It is time to get on the train!

@j3 The "Digital" Town hall is on January 20th, Mark S isn't even in Digital. Complete fake news. You should really learn to read.
@g7 - not fake news. Cengage highered received this email from Mark S
Digital Town Hall – Tuesday January 27 (1PM-2PM ET):
You all should have received a mysterious invitation to this agenda-less event. The cross-functional HED Leadership Team has been collaborating on a vision for Cengage’s Learning Platforms and will share it here across the HED Portfolio, Product, Engineering and Product Marketing Teams...
More Fake News. What the heck are you talking about? Why do you make stuff up? What data points do you have and what in the world is the Cengage Learning Platform? Moreover, why should people be concerned about a town hall? What the heck is wrong with you bro?
