I would expect it to occur this month so they can save on bonus funds next year
While the last 2 rounds of mass layoffs have fallen on Tuesday, the smaller ones that vary by team can occur at anytime. Friend of mine (in bank IT) received his notice back in July on a Friday at 2pm.
To all the bank folks, your job is not safe, especially if you’re a long tenured employee making well over $100k.
I hate to see anyone lose their job, but unfortunately the only way the bank can save money while trying to turn a profit this year is a reduction in headcount. My guess is, Michael Moran will gut the workforce to as minimal as he can to make the bank still operational, then around Q2-Q3, all those jobs will be posted again but at lower salaries. I say that because it happened in my previous area last year, half the BRCA team was let go, middle of this year those same jobs posted at lower salaries.

The one in August was on a Friday. I only know because a few friends were laid off that day
Haven’t heard anything of that, but I’d be shocked if it was today. Every other round has been on a Tuesday
