Another round of layoffs started today. Support engineers in Solaris/Network and Disk domains in Poland were laid off along with hub agents. More layoffs to follow next week. Spain is next, followed by other sites in Europe.

I received an 8-month severance at a former employer. When my new company checked my employment history, I was reported by my old company as "employed" during those 8 months. Anyone know if Oracle records you in the same way?

Oracle has just taken away all salaried employees accrued vacation and replaced it with "flex" vacation. When you have "unlimited" vacation, you have no vacation.

Amazingly looks like no layoffs this past week so the total for the calendar year remains at 3,000. Little hope that this number will remain unchanged. Keep looking for new jobs!
