Thankfully I'm not the only breadwinner in my household so my situation isn't too dire but I still can't help but feel like garbage. I didn't know I would get the boot so soon. What a horrible year this has been.

Ridiculous that executives get bonuses right before filing bankruptcy! Bonuses are supposed to be tied to performance. What's worse than bankruptcy? Seems like corporate America rewards failure.

JCPenney is closing up to 200 stores. No word on where any are unless anyone here knows. I’m surprised no one has posted yet.

Feel like jcp waiting until deadline to accept or decline verp offer before they go forward with possible bankruptcy. Deadline for decision on VERP is May 15. Frustrating that you are being asked to decide on this while stores are still closed

I work at a mall in Texas that has a jc penny, they are behind in the rent payments, the mall is showing the space to clients after the virus is over with.

If they cut your bonus after telling you they are going to pay you that is a BREECH OF CONTRACT, take them to court. First a lawyer will have to write a demand letter which normally costs about $200.

Any other ASMs that we’re cut in early March, I was told I would receive my bonus as normal but now they are acting squirrelly... it is supposed to pay out Friday, what have you been told??
