JCP would be smart not to close the smaller stores not connected to malls. These stand alone stores are the newer way America shops and could handle curb side pickup more efficiently. Amazon is now in talks to buy JCP so that’s actually some good news.
No stores are closing that has an optical department inside per US Vision who is a leased department inside JCPenney stores.
