I decided to go check the MyBen web site. You sign up there (I got an alert when I logged on to sign up for Cobra) so if you were waiting on some "paperwork" like I was, doesn't look like there is any coming. Go there quickly, there is an expiration.
The key problem with INTEL top and mid range management: Ignorance and Arrogance!
Instead outsourcing and licensing x86 technology in early 80s, and continuously growing licensing base, INTEL even killed all licensees after INTEL introduced 80486??? Siemens was allowed to built in their factories 80286 and 80386, but this program... — read more
I'm a RCG with a doctorate. I was offered a position in Santa Clara starting at "level 7" with $123k base salary and a signing on bonus.
What does "level 7" actually mean and how does this translate in the industry, senior engineer? Also is this starting salary about right. Although I have no work experience my research is a good fit to the role. Thanks for your help. I'm really... — read more
I wonder what BK, Murthy and Aicha think of us minions
After all these extremely highly paid individuals receive in 1 day what it takes us a year to earn. For these people worries like mortgage and college for their kids is not an issue. When BK talks about not keeping his hands inn the steering wheel... — read more
ARM is EVERYWHERE!
How did Intel allow this to happen? I thought that x86 would last forever since it was so dominant in PCs. My grandchildren' grandchildren would know about mod/rm. Hubris? Incompetence? Arrogance?
Who is doing the work at Intel? All experienced workers are gone. We know managers and PEs do nothing.
Entire groups are left with RCGs and nothing gets accomplished. Frustrating!
I contacted the "warmline" Friday to say that I was pissed off my career was going nowhere.
I had a 1 hour chat with an "adviser" in the afternoon. Today I received a offer of $25,000 as a retention "bonus" if I stayed with Intel 2 years with the offer of weekly career planning support for goal setting action planning with my manager. What... — read more

401K withholding on big check?
I see a 401K withholding on my final check, but none on my ERP payout. I've heard a similar story for VSPs. That lack of an automatic withholding was not mentioned in the ERP Q&A final PDF doc. They withhold 401K contributions for APB -- why not... — read more
Who is buying McAfee?
There were articles in the press last week saying Intel is going to sell off McAfee.. Does anyone know if it got sold or it is yet to? If yes, who bought it?
Closing a main mobile site like Sophia means one thing - Intel are sweetening the deal forfor it's mobile business as a acquisition/joint ventur
I'm giving management the benefit of the doubt here. I'm assuming they know they can't deliver the product roadmap without the French team. Therefore it's a short term private equity style maneuver to cook the books. What else?
$9000 Cobra comes in electronically or as a paper check?
ISP'ed in late April. Now I got a job in California, gotta move to start the new job soon. It seems I have not received $9000 Cobra. Does anyone know if Intel send $9000 Cobra compensation through direct deposit (just as severance pay) or just send a... — read more

Hi, I'm just wondering how much longer I should wait before I receive the rest of the severance package? I haven't received the 9K from Cobra as well.

I just checked my Intel Debit Card and so far I have not received the ERP retirement amount of ~ 1K (actually I think it more like $1050.00 ??) My last day was June 24th - ERP
ISP-ed in April: Did you receive the 9K COBRA opt-out payment?
I got my last payment last week and a separate check for the SPP refund, but the 9K was not paid. I was originally told that it will be included in the last payment. Any information on this?

SSP refund
Has anyone gotten their refund yet? I am glad I'll get it back, but sorry I'll lose out on discount. Maybe the people who perennially complained about it being capped at 5 percent will now be glad for whatever they get.
