What a joker, somehow more concrete assures technology leadership. Don’t worry Intelers Pat has secured a lot of concrete boots to toss you all overboard with the next layoff. Seriously nothing but a field of dreams, just because you build it they... — read more

Long hours

I love my job so I often forget about time and working long, long hours. Long hours are common in the industry and Intel in that sense is not much different from other companies I have worked in, but it is frustrating that this company has some... — read more

Pat Update

Pat just updated us saying Intel is Hiring 1000/week. Wonder how long more before he is removed. He absolutely couldn't do worse. Bob Swan was on a better track. This guy is so out of touch with reality. Down another 2% today.

Denial phase

Intel right now is at initial Blackberry denial phase where executives were laughing at 1st version of iPhone and saying people want real keyboard. I like this comparison, whoever wrote this. I absolutely agree, leadership doesn't seem to have a... — read more

Finally after 15 years of working at Intel, Sandra l left intel. Of course she didn’t leave a cushy job where she worked on things like intel wearables, sports etc as a VP and wasting Intel’s money to attend Met Gala and Davos, what!! Until she... — read more

Just wait until tomorrow's AMD report. Another $4-$5 fall for INTC. AMD closing in on Intel's market value. NVDA/TSM now worth 3x INTC each. Layoffs are sure to follow!

Where is the disconnect coming from?

I noticed a huge disconnect between what is posted on this board versus other sites such as Glassdoor and Indeed reviews section. I have been following this board for a while and it has been very active with a lot of negative things to say about... — read more

Poll: are you seeing key people leaving your team?

If not, why not? The stock is down for the next several years as Intel makes large bets on fabs, so comp is not competitive. Intel has a terrible culture relative to lots of competitors. Management’s strategy with IDM 2.0 has an extremely low... — read more

Cuts next week

There've been rumors about cuts before the end of October, is there any truth to them?

Fools are running the show

All the smart people were laid off just because they were happy doing their jobs for a pittance! The fools who laid them off were counting pennies. The headcount was cut to 90000. The Fools hired bigger fools and now there is a big cluster F at... — read more

Recovery from the last big round of cuts

I personally think Intel has never recovered from the last big round of layoffs. Digging yourself out of that level of mistrust is essential to compete in this environment, but there will never be any trust for anyone working at the company for more... — read more

Still too many old-timers here

I have nothing against older folks, but you can't expect to stay at the top of the innovation game with so many people who are still stuck in the old ways. Not to mention, who are scared that anybody who offers a new idea is there to get their job... — read more
