Hiring

I thought there was a hiring freeze at Intel, especially due to the major layoffs we've been having. Was I wrong? I keep seeing people commenting how they got a great offer from Intel, so I looked up open positions. It was a shock to see how many... — read more

Ghosted by Manager

My manager stopped showing up to work months ago. The worst part, beyond our team having to pick up the slack, is that his manager hasn't even noticed. It's depressing.

Intel’s insight better than Google and Microsoft

Now that Microsoft and Google are laying off more than 15000, It looks like Intel made a move much better than these other companies who waited so long and did it in so short time. There is something Intel does better and market catches up

Major layoffs at Google

I looked at their severance package and I wanted to weep. Those who have been with the company for more than 15 years get to walk away with nearly a full year's salary. Imagine being awarded for your years of service like that. Even when being laid... — read more

Such drawn-out cuts have incalculable consequences

I'd say if you have the means/skill move while you can unless you been there for a while and would welcome a severance. I've never seen anything this weird or drawn out. MSFT, Facebook, Amazon. They go the rip the bandaid off approach. Intel on the... — read more

Job market is really bad out there

Are tech workers finding jobs quickly? With all the layoffs including Google announcement of 12K today, it is really bad. I wonder when Intel will announce major layoffs as so far there has not been really any.

Some people don't even know why they were laid off

People here are walking on egg shells in fear of becoming a target and losing their job. This kind of uncertainty and knowing that employee's hard work does not mean much creates mistrust and a very bad atmosphere in the company. Not giving the... — read more

Long Time Intel - The Truth

I was with Intel many years (between 15 and 40 lets say) and I just want to say the company is one of the best. Any time I ever needed time off, I got it. Any time I was sick, I simply sent an email saying I was sick. The cafe's are great with lots... — read more
