Overhead that RIF's should begin the 1st week in August. Next week let the games begin.
Honeywell Phoenix
Hearing today that aerospace will be selecting the people to be played off not by job performance or seniority but by salary. Management was told they had to reduce by 15 percent. Not in body count but by department cost.
More rather than less!
Expect the layoff to be significant. HW is concerned that if they continue to have layoffs and furlough looming that their best people will leave. They want to stabilize their workforce for the 2017 decline in revenue.

Layoffs, Furloughs Driven by Efficiency, Honeywell Says: http://realmoney.thestreet.com/articles/07/22/2016/layoffs-furloughs-driven-efficiency-honeywell-says
I was one of the 20% that did 80% of the work....Schadenfreude!
I'm glad it became so uncomfortable to work at Honeywell that I quit 18 months ago. As an Engineer at the top of my field I was planning on working for 5-10 more years but who wants to put up with being treated like crap. I received 3 letters signed... — read more
Spending Money
The plant I work at is still spending money right and left. We are told to watch our cost. How do they expect the workers to work at 100% when there is a layoff and they act like everything is fine and dandy? We don't have much work(hourly) so all we... — read more

Hey Cote, employees made Honeywell-Allied Signal "great"; not just you and the board of directors.
Remember, those who are left after 30+ years of layoffs are holding the company together. You are at the breaking point where product quality cannot be maintained by "emerging markets". The companies reputation is on the line. I'm not worried about... — read more
Any word on ETS
Just wondering if there has been any word on ETS layoffs.
In recent lite of the layoffs, (all over), Dave Cote said it himself - "At Honeywell you don't have a career you have a job"
Dave is leaving (somewhat), appointed his successor, and is trying to build up his golden parachute. He gave fair warning, although not many took it as such, he did let everyone know this was coming, why else would he pat us on the back all the while... — read more

A vicious company
I worked for Honeywell, and I can say for sure it is the most vicious company on earth. The waste is enormous. Management technically is a disaster. The abuse of workers is very bad. I warn engineers not to consider working for Honeywell. It is a... — read more
