Are interns allowed to use go/ThePost? Can you do me a huge favor and just copy/paste this over there real quick? 🥲🙏 Or, he-l, put it in #waynes-world. I'm sorry your intern experience wasn't ideal, but it sounds like you learned a lot about what to avoid in a company. Best of luck in your journey.

@1jix+1n5OeA7p Bad troll but I think this is worth saying.
Pretty much no one is against DEI as an idea/principle. It's DEI people that are absolutely insufferable and make people want to have nothing to do with the movement.
Like that chick who is constantly posting in #waynes-world about controversial trans issues - it's awkward, uncomfortable, and just generally inappropriate for work. Even if you agree with the underlying message, the in-your-face nature of it is off-putting. That would be true of any divisive topic: religious views, what such-and-such politician said/did that day, you name it.
But people like that lack self awareness. They'll read something like this and feel the need to double down because their savior complex won't allow them to introspect.
A few years ago I would have been all-in on DEI because it was actually about making people feel included, welcomed, and encouraging diverse perspectives. Now, everything is about surface-level characteristics like race, s-xuality, and gender. It's diversity of appearances, not diversity of culture, experiences, education, and opinions.
Everyone is looking for their next reason to be offended or opportunity to cry oppression because oppression = social importance and validation.
There can't be diversity of thought, because anyone who deviates from or questions the approved way of thinking is a -phobe or -ist. Those phrases have completely lost their meaning.
Case in point: The statement "Parents should have the ability to decide what their children are taught about certain topics" is now a controversial take.
Fu-k that. DEI as a principle is great. DEI people and those whose entire identity is tied to looking for ways to be offended can fu-k all the way off. You're doing more harm than good and pushing people away from your cause rather than towards it.
There’s a post from an EMG in corporate communications in #waynes-world. Encourage you to look at it. Basically EMG found out the guidance today. Managers and directors will find out on Tuesday. The rest of us plebeians will find out on May 1/2.
