Hi all, original poster here and I'm appreciating the dialogue - I completely understand everyone's opinions. This type of social movement obviously isn't for everyone. But please realize this isn't just about Target - this about my co-workers who have families to feed and mortgages to pay. The people who are working hard everyday for a company they love and have been devoted to for years. I'm wearing black to show them and even those that I don't know but have walked the halls for the past five years that I'll be thinking of them and their families. Good luck to everyone - I hope things work out for you. #blacktuesday

@75479 I think this is a great idea and it has nothing to do with the type of employee I am but the type of human being I am. I would be happy to share my work calendar with you which would show zero 'coffees' or 'status' with my friends. I work my ass off for this company and average a 50 hour work week... It doesn't matter though cause Targey doesn't care about us. But I care about my co-workers and I'll be wearing blsck. #blacktuesday

@75454 sounds like someone is bitter. Target is about community. This type of 'Junior High Activity' is actually a great way to help build morale, support, and inclusivity. #blacktuesday

Silent Movement - "Black Tuesday"

Obviously, the past week has been stressful for many team members across HQ. Our personal futures and the futures of many of our friends and family are about to change and their is nothing we can do about it. I've been thinking about ways for Target team members to protest in a way that shows we are one team. We stand together because this layoff is going to hit home for each and everyone one of us. Tuesday is going to be about as sad as walking into a funeral. We will be saying goodbye to friends and colleagues we've known for years. As a silent movement I think it would be very impactful if everyone wore BLACK. While it isn't going to change the outcome of Tuesday's events it is a great way to come together one last time and shoe that we support one another. Thoughts? I would love to push this movement to social media ASAP. #blacktuesday
