Topics regarding layoffs at Ford

Did they take down the Town Hall Webcast?

I logged in to watch this afternoon and it's gone. No webcast, no link, and no Outlook appointment reminder. Someone really did a thorough job. What's the advertising slogan? "Like it never even happened" WTF?

I can’t work with the same enthusiasm as before

Call it being disappointed, call it survivor's guilt or whatever but I am starting to hate going to my job at Ford, the very sar job I enjoyed once. It’s not even a matter of fear of being laid off. I’ve simply lost my fate in the company and the... — read more

How did we get here?

Working at Ford is slowly but surely turning into a nightmare. So much uncertainty, so much frustration, so much stress, not to mention politics.... I feel like quitting and finding a job at a fast food place would provide me with more peaceful life... — read more

LLs must have at least 6 direct reports?

I am hearing that all LLs must have at least 6 direct reports in the organization after the “smart” redesign. Anyone else hearing this? Unfortunately that is all I heard. Not sure if there will be any exceptions made or not.

Wave 4

Can someone tell me what wave 4 entails? I saw one of the post that explained Wave 1, 2 and 3 were complete. Any information would be appreciated.

Ford has no loyalty towards its employees

Ford has no loyalty towards any of its employees. Ask 100 thousand Ford employees who were moved to Visteon & lost their pension benefits. Those who were hired back from Visteon to Ford came in as new employees with no pension plan. I am just so... — read more

Definitely morale k--ling

I'm leaving Ford, even if I don't get SRDed. The old guard acting in their selfish best interest at the expense of the company is probably the reason why such cullings need to happen....and sadly, the cullings are affecting the innocent. It's quite a... — read more

Now's the time to leave on your own

Anyone with engineering or IT skills and wanting to hone their craft should be interviewing and getting out of Ford asap. The company leadership is corrupt and only out for themselves. It sickens me to watch all the intentional waste with... — read more

What's the latest on more layoffs?

It's been a while since anything was mentioned regarding more layoffs - is this a good thing? Or is this just a short break before the next wave hits? I hate that now I'm constantly stressing and worrying about my job, even when it seems everything... — read more

It’s so hard to land a job in the automotive industry

I’m a former Ford worker that got laid off three months ago and I still wasn't able to find a job in the automotive industry that fits my skills. Sure, there are job postings, eben been a few interviews, but nothing yet. To all of those who say the... — read more

LL4 said Things to Get Crazy Week of May 13

The management team has been in private meetings every day this week as has HR. A LL4 told my teammate it will go down the week of 5/13. I saw my boss's boss with printed spreadsheets of names in boxes. I am in a branch off IT. I believe no one is... — read more

Has anybody been offered to come back?

I’m not saying that that fact reduces the leadership’s guilt for the layoffs and the manner in which they were conducted, but the fact is that Electric cars AV’s or whatever are a totally different industry , with different processes, therefore in... — read more
