I heard that I will forfeit my purchases vacation and won't get reimbursed for the money I already paid for it.

Yes lesson learned do not purchase vacation. Our LL5 told us to in the future, after exhausting sick and personal days, just take some more “sick days” so if you take 5 additional sick days, you do not get paid for the week- you just purchased a week of vacation.
If I remember correctly, when you purchase vacation, aren't the payments divided out over a period of months? It is not a lump sum charge... again, if I recall correctly. Still at this point you would have paid for a good portion of it.

That is complete BS. You paid for it. They are literally stealing from you. Start small. Your goal should be to shut an assembly plant down every three years, and never ever have a Ford product. Trying GM or Chrysler is ok. They did not can you, or steal money from you. Wow. Good luck.
Take the vacation, it already paid for......the last time I was laid-off, I bought a brand new auto on the way home with the severance cash (Camaro ZL-1).
This is correct. Never buy vacation is the lesson learned going forward.
