Topics regarding layoffs at Ford

Finally, a weekend with no flubs

How about that! Ford management and HR haven't messed up royal for a change this week and now we have nothing to comment on or rant about this weekend.

Leadership

Question: Where's Joe Hinrichs? Jim Farley and Bill Ford Jr. are Slapd--ks!

Farley: we have too many people

Talking to the Wolfe Research, he “went on to acknowledge the company needs to make drastic changes to compete and win against rivals including Tesla.” “We have too many people. We have too much investment. We have too much complexity.” So, what... — read more

Blue Oval City or Other Relocation

Has anyone heard anything about transfers going to Blue Oval City & when they plan on starting the process? Was also wondering how well relocation works with Ford? I've heard they'll buy your house if it doesn't sell within 3 months, is this true? — read more

Are better days coming?

I really hope that better days are coming for Ford and for us who work here, but chances are that it's a bumpy road ahead. Does anyone have something optimistic to say?

Put yourself out there

I occasionally put my updated resume on some job boards for no particular reason, fully expecting it to be completely ignored. That was the truth until last month. I was contacted by two different companies and I am currently in the process of... — read more

Ford, it's cheaper to try to retain talent!

It is really hard to understand why Ford's decision makers think it is cheaper to constantly bring in new people and train them than to try to retain people with experience by giving them adequate compensation. Will our leadership ever get their... — read more

Ford to go all electric

I hope this will never happen because I think it would be a disaster for this company. I don’t understand why some think it’s a good idea?

Thoughts - Default 22% AICP Tax Withholding

What are your thoughts on why they are only withholding 22% taxes on the AICP and allowing employees to adjust that? In prior years they have always withheld over 30% and NEVER allowed employees an adjustment.

I will NEVER buy a Ford EV

The company that offers an ICE based pickup will always get my business. And if they offer it without a wireless modem, even better. Though I can always find it and snip the wiring.

Ford-Tesla competition

Profit Sharing - Nothing has changed for 30 years!

The profit sharing formulas always favored LL5 and above. The curve was/is exponential, so the higher levels would receive profit sharing almost equal (or more?) to their salary while the GSR/LL6 received $5k-$10K. This will never change - we use to... — read more
