Thread regarding Ford layoffs

We should start a pool on how abysmal the Lightning launch will be

From a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being smooth as silk, and 1 being a complete ab-----n, I'll start: we'll be lucky if its even a 1!

Its in dearborn i think it will have some bumps but nothing disasterious. Dearborn Truck is NOT Chicago Assy.

My job is in North America Manufacturing part of the business so i regularly go to plants.

I will say the full time wfh people can be incredibly clueless on plant operations especially when something goes wrong and they are being asked to help fix it.

P702 is already a quality/recall disaster. See NHTSA for details.

What makes anyone think all the other problems are fixed, let alone an all new powertrain, electrical architecture, batteries, and rear suspension for the Lightening will be all perfect at launch???

I'll say a 7 there is a lot attention on this program. There is a lot riding on the P702. So I'm being optimistic.
