Ford “leadership” is hilarious. They collect “leaders” from tech companies, not realizing a) why they were available and b) that what really matters is a skilled work force.
Look at Tesla, if you are skilled and producing you are out.
Look at Ford, if you aren’t skilled and not producing you are promoted.
Look at Elon, he can intelligently discuss every detail of a car’s engineering, production. He steps in to help solve technical problems and supports his workers. He changed the EV landscape despite steep odds.
Look at Farley, very shallow knowledge, mostly around sales and marketing. He shows up for photo ops, but never rolls his sleeves up to help out. He hires outside consultants to tell him how to run the company. Distinctive two Jim’s behavior.
The lip li---r is also a liar. Publicly saying Ford is attracting top talent from tech. Huh? Oh I guess because Ford has poached a few high level hires with promises of huge executive bonuses that means we've attracted "top" talent. So he and the poached Apple and Google executives are going to write code? Yeah right!
