Is there any 2022 lay off?

I'm a recent hire at HQ and I really hate the job. It's very toxic and political. Unfortunately I moved from out of state and bounded to relocation repayment clause. I wish I get laid off. Does anyone know whether lay off is coming?

Peloton vs DSG - Very Different Public Reaction

I love that those people laid off at Peloton are getting help from the community at large and media coverage about their situation. And to see so many Peloton employees post about wanting to help their team members that were let go was actually... — read more

Record second-quarter profit and sales

Raise your hand if you think this will affect the employees positively in any way. Yeah, I didn't think so. This will benefit shareholders and those at the top. Us mere mortals who actually made all those sales happen will get an 'attaboy, now get... — read more

Closings?

Makes no sense to me, but I've heard from somebody that we might be looking at some closings soon. Is there a chance this is not utter b—s—?

More messes

Technology just reorged, and it’s a disaster. Some roles eliminated, some leaders are actually being asked to apply for non-leadership roles. Design tossed around like it doesn’t matter And given to product management. New roles (scrum master?!?)... — read more

The goal is to eliminate higher paid employees

THE ANSWER HERE IS a SAD but obvious ploy to eliminate long term older people and / or higher paid people... and in my department primarily men over 40. The sad part is to get it under the cover of Covid 19 as well as under cover of age... — read more

What's the point?

What's the point of laying somebody off and immediately posting their position as available for hire? I'd understand if I was a top earner, but I'm in the middle of the pack. There are so many people who earn more than I did and they are still... — read more

So many lies

From a former employee

Right as the pandemic started and DSG furloughed almost everyone, Lauren Hobart wrote an impassioned piece on LinkedIn about how sad she was and how DSG would come back stronger than ever, blah, blah, blah. There were 1600 reactions to her post, and... — read more

More to come

Don't get too comfortable, this is far from over. Now that the layoffs floodgates are open, don't expect them to stop any time soon. If you are smart, you'll start looking for a new job right now. Nobody is safe here anymore...

Next Phase

I'm guessing furloughs at the best for most store + some corporate positions starting next week. They were only prepared for stuff to be closed thru the 7th. After that "difficult decisions would need to be made" They already cut almost all... — read more

Full time still 30 hours?

I worked at D–k's from early 1996 - late 2002 full time and part time until early 2005. Got a new full time job when they were "improving the financials" to go public. Left completely when they cut me to just a few hours a week. Before that, I... — read more
