Layoffs coming that will affect corporate on Monday

All the management should be held accountable and fired. They are the ones making the bad decisions and the ones at the bottom had to pay. I hope there are more lay offs and everyone jumps ship. No one is safe. HR should be fired as well because they let the bullying and abuse go on by management.
Denny and David should resign. We layed off and moved people and LP still doesn't know what they're responsible for. They ruined peoples lives because they cant find a way to make LP work instores and align with store operations. How much of an impact did that make shaking things up going into the 4th quarter. More coming in January/February when they realign and stategize with a mo--n to eliminate more jobs. Clearly the leaders in place are too busy getting their d su-ked instead of managing a business. Also, your failure to hold regional and district staff for underperformance costs us millions. Maybe address performance, and not the performance your getting in your pants.
So firing hundreds of people didn’t “fix” the theft and bad business problem? Shocking. I hope the investors sue them for everything. All the top management needs fired.
Funny how laying off people seemed to solve the “Retail theft” problem for Q3
Hindsight leads to clarity and boy are the top leaders there sc-m.
To those that filed unemployment along with getting severance-Did you get the full unemployment amount or was it limited due to the severance? I filed that I have severance on my application but they are giving me a hard time about getting unemployment. Dicks has really ruined my life with this sht we have to deal with and figure out now, I hope their karma comes swift and fast.
Happy 3 month layoff phone call anniversary, everyone!!!
How is everyone doing?
Are you back to work?
How is the job search going?
Is LHH worth working with in the search?
What did everyone do for health insurance?
For me, the 3 months have flown by so fast and I'm starting to feel like I'll never go back to a 9-5 job. But, I'm too young to retire so that isn't really possible. Hope others are doing better than me.
Hoping everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.
I got the bi-weekly Severance. Applied to UC on 9/20. There was a waiting week of no benefits. Another week of no benefits due to excessive Severance. Oct 27 got the msg and call, payments started the next week- included 3 weeks of UC in first payment. Still getting Severance and UC.
How long did it take for you to submit it and then get approved? I didn’t think I could get it either until severance runs out.
Was your severance a lump sum or biweekly? I wasn’t sure if I could get it since I’m not losing pay.
In case anyone is still waiting to hear about unemployment...I got a call yesterday that mine was approved. With the severence, each case has to individually be manually reviewed and approved. I should start getting UC next week.
No, was not aware of this either. Wonder if it was helpful or insightful about the situation.

Over age 40 is a 45 day period to sign the letter and send it back. Under 40 I think was 14 days.
Did it say in the paperwork over age 40 they had to give you 21 days notice? I didn’t see that nor did my lawyer say anything about it. He said they can make up whatever bs they want to fire you since PA is an at will state. I have no evidence age why was I got let go though I think it was a reason along with being bullied by management. I am STILL waiting to be paid my severance that I signed weeks ago.
I was reading about severance pay, as I was offered and declined so I could keep options open for a lawsuit if it was feasible. I was told I had 14 days to make a choice to sign the severance if i wanted to go that route. I just read if your over the age of 40, they had to give you 21 days. Not sure if that was also an issue for anyone. They can also be sued if they breach the severance contract you signed and didn't pay all owed wages. Just saying..
On the one month anniversary of getting let go-thanks for this story. I would love to see the people that destroyed so many lives be help accountable.
Glad to see someone's seeing past the Q2 loss bs and the company is being investigated! Several people lost their job so they could reallocate the money and put it back into stores for the new apparel pilot programs and payroll for holiday on-boarding. The loss in q2 was purely from broken processes and failure to elevate customer service! Theft has always been an issue!
Hahahah sue them! They are liars! Wow sketchy as he-l. That makes me happy
Pulse survey! Fire all the management!
This warms my heart:

pulse survey is out. Let em have it.
Got no severance and no vacation. Should have had both
Missing vacation pay and no severance. Signed it as soon as I got it. Ridiculous
Also only seeing pay for partial vacation but got all personal days. Missing pay for some vacation days. Do not have severance pay even though it was submitted weeks ago. They can’t even fire people correctly and not f us over. They fire people constantly they should know how to by this by now.
So now they are messing with our owed vacation and personal days? The bs continues
C’mon. This is discrimination pure and simple!
Make sure to check your payslip for 9-15-23, I'm not seeing the amount that I was expecting to see.
I thought it would be vacation payout, 1 week of regular pay (8-28 to 9-1), and the first two weeks of severance pay.
All I'm seeing is a partial vacation payout, and "personal" time 8-28 to 9-1.
What is everyone expecting to see in this payslip?
I’ve had several recruiters reach out on LinkedIn, knowing what DSG did with several departments between severances and moving people around. While this may not have been the path you thought you’d be on, there is so much value you have to offer to another company that can see your worth. I was offered a pretty good salary and job at another retailer and wont even think twice about giving my notice to DSG. After being moved into another role, being treated as if I didn’t contribute enough as a high performer, and seeing so many comments on here about your experience-I don’t think they’ll truly realize the talent they had until they get through the 3rd and 4th quarter missing people like us. Good luck All! Don’t waste your energy and time on this company! They don’t deserve it..
Over three weeks into the layoffs and 70+ applications, I have my first interview today! Best of luck to everyone else who has had their lives turned upside down unexpectedly. I hope each and every one of your bounce back and find something even better than what we lost!
In the past 3 weeks, no one on my team ever bothered to reach out to me, including my boss. I feel so bad and let down, like I never existed. What a toxic place. I worked with some of these people for years. I clearly meant nothing to them. This is a horrible situation and to get no support makes it even worse. Hope they enjoy doing my work.
$1k a month? So those of us let go can’t even afford insurance. That’s insane. Obamacare is expensive and coverage is terrible as well. Cobra should not even exist or be offered if that is what you have to pay. Employees let go continue to be punished for terrible management decisions. Management should be fired and suffer. Praying for the downfall of all those people.
Oof just got my cobra papers. $1k a month. I can’t wait for life to shred Ed and Lauren.
My director told me they didn't know I was going to be impacted and that they had no choice in the matter. I was given the opportunity to go to a store after being a district leader that had results and over 10+ years of experience. I've also fixed several broken stores and rolled out several of the programs we use in out stores today. Not once in my time here have I truly felt valued or appreciated for what I've contributed and how I've led people. I've always had to work 10X harder, while I watch others lead in ways that don't represent our culture or messaging from leadership. In the last two weeks I've struggled greatly with what has happened. The fact that we knew this was going to happen and directors acted like they cared about our future, shows the lack of integrity and morales this company has. Atleast have the ba--s to be honest with people. All summed up to Poor leadership, no empathy starting at the top, and a poor culture they've just created with no trust. Di-k's lacks integrity, morales, they're not committed and clearly not passionate about anything that has to do with treating people like people. Good luck to those who stay, good luck to those that were impacted. I hope the district leaders that are still here see the writing on the wall and leave for something better.
How messed up is it that the managers and directors knew for weeks/months that people were being let go and smiled in their faces everyday. These are the people that should have been let go. It starts at the top but the middle and bottom suffer.
Can’t wait for the next round of csc layoffs. Then the people that are left won’t be so smug and believing the bs that the people already let go were bad workers (we weren’t). It called bad management that caused the problems and they should be let go
I didn’t get cobra packet mailed or emailed yet either. And did not receive this email about a teams meeting
Can you share the rest of the email discussed about Friday’s meeting?
Did not receive that email. Did anyone get their COBRA info mailed to them yet? (Mailed, not emailed) was supposed to come within 2 weeks of the firing event
Anyone get this email?
