Land Adm. is mourning over the loss of some great guys who have been with us since TW and AM days. My goodness, these guys were talented and knew their stuff and ran great departments. Who is left to pick up the pieces.

If your field office contains essential personnel (people actually involved with the day to day well operations) you're probably fine. If you're in a smaller field office with more administrative jobs it's more dicey.

Does anyone know how many restaurants the Louisville field office will have?

I heard the peons got 3 mos severance, cobra and vested stock. I would take that and march right out the door and into a better job.

Makes sense to fire people instead of lay them off. If there was ever a disciplinary issue ever, they could use that as cause and axe them. No severance, etc

86 officially laid off doesn't necessarily count folks that got fired or contractors let go... Could be more than 86...

Just a realist: Roughly 60% cut in rig count by 2014, land grab is over, development phase, several bloated depts., unnecessary perks and luxuries, need to cut debt. etc. etc.

So what is the total count now? Including today.... 150?
