there is NOTHING that the company can do if you speak about your severance...plus it would be impossible to find out and prove who said what and when No court would enforce an action by CHK to not pay someone a severance

As I understand it, severance is delayed for up to 60 days and this is keeping people from speaking up, as they are in fear of violating some signed agreement and therefore in jeopardy of losing severance. Perfectly understandable.

Kudos to HR. They've obviously scared people to the point that they're refusing to reveal any details about severance.
