They just announced you can only use 80 hours of PTO through your firing date in three months. I have well over twice that in front loaded PTO since I have not used it this year. They are not going to pay out PTO either.
Do you think that you will not be the target?
There are people who always think they won’t be the target and are very confident that they won’t be on the layoff list. Such is the story of my former colleague here. Taking his hard work into account, he was by no means supposed to be laid off... — read more

Anyone else find it interesting that news articles say layoffs between August 8th and December 10th? It was in an official WARN letter sent in Michigan. They never mentioned December in any of the meetings. So yes, there is another round of layoffs... — read more

Typically, offshore accounts for 70-80% of a project while onshore is in the 20-30% range. In the COVID-19 era, markets are seeing a clear 50% reduction in onshore and 5-15% rise in offshore share, said Phil Fersht, founder and CEO, HfS Research. The... — read more
A little stress for the long-term good

Is it true that older employees are in more danger?

for so many layoffs? Couldn’t some jobs have been saved?
Why is there no more transparency?

This has NOTHING to do with the pandemic
I've talked to several people so far who've tried to justify these layoffs with the pandemic. I don't understand why they feel the need to defend the company but they need to find a better way to do it. This has nothing to do with covid. It's just a... — read more
