Luckily I decided to find a new job and leave two months ago, but I still felt terrible when I saw the news about the layoffs that would follow. I feel sorry for people who will be impacted and who are not prepared. Is it known who will be the target? I guess older employees??? If it means anything to you, there is life outside of this company and it is much better once you are out.

You lose your severance packages when you leave on your own accord. Wait it out but I interview interview interview!
There most certainly is life after Ascension. I was there about 5 years. Left in April. I am not in a perfect place but a much better one. As I reflect on my time with them, I keep seeing more things that went so wrong and are so off about the company. The deceit and use of religion being high on that list. The longer you stay there, the harder it will be to leave. I interviewed at other companies and primarily used work experiences from prior to AIS. Move on; find better opportunities. I don’t think it will get any better or different there- I had kept on hoping so but nothing changed. In fact it only worsened.
