They said they wanted to inform everyone at once and that there are no other planned layoffs after today. However, some folks who are out on PTO might still be notified when they return.

They laid off over 200 nurses at UCSD Hillcrest last week. No notice, low.

I spoke with a friend last night. They said they know one of the directors and there will be more layoffs at UC San Diego Health. I don't know which departments.

UC San Diego will be laying off employees by the end of this fiscal year (June 2025)

I heard some UCSD La Jolla new grads got laid off a few weeks after hiring. Anything else? There is federal funding cut courtesy of the current administration and this is before they make any changes to medicare
