It is disappointing when I continue to see Target cut top talent in the IT space. I can speak to it from a person who has been through being let go, the folks that were cut who were good will have new jobs in 3-5 weeks. It will take Target 3-5 years... — read more 

20% of salary? That seems low. Is the percentage based on some variable such as years of service? I know in my area those let go weren't here very long.

We could have had 500 in mn and never know.

I heard at least 400 more in March, cannot confirm though. They will try to stabilize things and then cut even more.

Hqs exempt: You essentially remain an employee for 45 days, with company healthcare and pay. After 45 days you have to sign your severance agreement in return for a Taxable severance which is appx. 20% of salary.

BTW, did you guys at HR this was coming (for non HR folks) _ I am assuming you did not know that you will be hit.

A call today at 11:00 indicated that PMCoE and BTT will be merged , while other elements from BTT will be rolled into solutions or service architecture. More info to come on 24 January.
