IT jobs always bloated?? Two things, you must not work in IT and you certainly never worked for Schlumberger. IT and Admin are two of the leanest areas within the company. Ask anyone who works in those positions for SLB.

Got news for you, that area is streatched to the max. You have work piling up months behind. 3 to 5 managers all ready share their (1) support person.
They may cut, but schlumberger will implode internally. They sliced that part of the company to ribbons years ago and it's been running on vapors and people quitting due to the stress levels.
Admin jobs, IT jobs, that area is always bloated
