Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Anarchy

It's time.

Think of everyone that this new org has screwed.

CB.

For chrissakes! who could ever think of a company where CB isn't 1000% valuable. CB, you are special. Your future will not be defined by this messed up Follett experience. You're one of the smartest young men I've had the fortune to meet in retail.

Chasing away incredible people daily from the stores, the store ops leadership, finance (jeez...Andy!..we all love AM)

Pete- remember awesome Pete Ernst. Dude was so valuable...

FP (and screw those of you who didn't know his true value)...FP tried his best to keep the ego maniacs at Home office in line....and believe me, he was busy full time with that job! He was a nice guy trying to do the right thing for Follett, despite being surrounded by a bunch of dancing cocks.

When you go to work today, think of the 600+ store managers across the country who got downsized, and the friends who have been replaced by fools, and the leadership that remains....It's not Audrey, not Steve, not Chuck...not whomever was your lynchpin.... just a bunch of pussies trying to grab cash while everything is up for grabs.

I'm sad that the family didn't see that they had other options.

Again, kudos to the CNS team for staying whole.

Can we pay a singer to perform a horrible song about us being the difference? I miss those putrid days.

Joe and Doug were great. Current high position employees still riding on the shirt tails for what they were mentor and giving no credit. Shameless.

Doug T was my favorite. Very intelligent, forced decisions on key initiatives, had your back if there were any issues and all around great family employee. Huge accomplishments under his tenure.

Joe was excellent. Calm with an extremely strong executive presence. But most importantly, Joe cared about employees.

Remember how Steve used to go for a walk every day at lunch. He'd go to get some fresh air and think, think about what had happened in his day so far. That's conscious leadership. That's a caring approach. Admirable. I'd watch him head out and think, I wish had had that strong of a center - to be able to ignore the demands and take the time to breathe, to think clearly. Powerful leadership.

Confirmed. Word on the street and the industry. Some are being naïve to the big picture others are just waiting until the show their hand, bad news is good news.

Anyone who thinks that any department is 'staying whole' is fooling themselves. Word on the street is that campus customers are not feeling so great about Follett these days. The fallout of the layoff and leadership decisions is beginning to become apparent. The days of MLS and DG 'Leadership' will soon be numbered as customers and employees of all types seek better options. MLS and DG and all cronies will be revealed as the FRAUDS that they are.

I read the post where KM said a certain person(s) sucked. I assume with an highly educated guess she was referring to SS, DG, AS, PS, YS, RM, CW, GT, and MG as well. If she said it of all people, one of smartest, hardest working, committed people who I highly doubt anyone heard her say a bad word about anybody or would use that particular form of language and would have been in a position to know. Then these people must really (and those who support them) must really SUCK! I hope they find a market outside of the US because there if they think they are going to SUCK up all of US financial aid money backed by US citizens without a push back they should think again. You can take your advice from a company who executives who live in the US but and moved from Bermuda (Cayman Island style) and then when the US tax Bermuda and those similar style companies US taxes instead of paying US taxes left there. Slimy tax evaders written all over. That's fine just don't except funds from US backed tax payers without a push back there will be numerous articles written.

For those employees still at Follett, each Monday take 5 minutes to think about the employees that were not just let go, but treated very poorly in the process.

This is a good post. Most that have been let go were valued employees and committed to the success of Follett. But unfortunately when AS, PS, YS, RM, CW, GT, MG, ML and many others have joined the company they need to cut others just to stay even expense wise.

Nepotism is never good for a company. There are many more cuts to come.
