I have never seen so much inventory in my store. OMS to the rescue - don't think so. Is inventory up in every store? Carrying costs and shipping costs to other stores will kills us.

True. No one should keep anything at work, including technical books. It makes me wonder where they got some of the "lost inventory" since they kept hundreds of my personal technical books I bought myself.
Make sure you take your personal belongings home. They get to decide what is yours and what isn't
When I sat in on 'Project Blue' I thought 'at least this is it.' Now I expect that every friday afternoon; campus security having to 'escort' me out after being told by a boss through a conference call it's over.
They usually let people go after lunch on Friday. It's been a slow 1 or 2 every week lately, so no one notices. More to come, but it is difficult to work in such an environment where fear rules.
I work in accounting and there is something going on behind the scenes. Especially worried. Difficult to work in this environment.
I do to. When you see a recent empty desk when you walk on Monday it always makes you wonder, the individual was a good worker had been there a long time and then they are gone. Then you think when am I going to be next and they hire someone (I think that they already knew) for more money. It doesn't make sense to those of us here.
So much for Living the Values!
I work at the home office and I really do fear every friday will be my last
New management language "Shut your whiny, negative asses up." and "Shut the F up". The attitude has been there and has been felt now its been vocalized how you truly see your employees.
When I said we're still selling I wish it was a major upswing. It's a book here, a book there. Two years ago we'd have unloaded 80k back to vendors by now. I'm not an apologist, frankly I was one of the stores affected by last year's pogrem. I really do fear every friday will be my last. Enrollment is majorly down but that doesn't matter to number obsessed.
- Shut the F up. There is too much inventory in all categories.
The complaint WAS not enough books and students accessories needed before their classes started. Really "Shut your whiny, negative asses up." Nice. Why don't you get your behind down here and work with the actual customers.
Rush is over so inventory is not selling. We are stuck with carrying costs, shipping, labor and markdowns.
Yeah, greater inventory, but we're still selling. Still, it is a bit disconcerting. Change always is though, isn't it?
- F U ! No labor! Good luck during inventory. And again. FU!
First you all complained about not having enough inventory, now there's too much. Damn! Shut your whiny, negative asses up.
not to mention the labor with min staff
