Bryteware review on the App Store

This is the most recent review on 9/22/14 "AVOID USING THIS AT ALL COSTS." Read full details on the App Store for all 34 reviews. Rating 1 out of 5. Follett software will not have repeat customers because this app does not work. Go iBooks and Kindle.

@40183 Students always give bad reviews to class apps? Hardly. Go actually look. Most range 3-4.5. The only other bad one seems to be blackboard, which isn't rated as bad as Brytewave, and seems to have been rated better before, but had problems of late, unlike CafeScribe/Brytewave which has consistently sucked. But pretty much all the other course/ebook apps were fairly well reviewed. But nice try.

Someone or several employees will be fired at Apple. This is just like the Apple Maps fiasco where folks lost their jobs.

It is an embarassment for any company including Apple, but especially Brightwave since it was "launched" and supposed to fix a similar crappy Cafe scribe app. Who is the owner of this application at Follett?

Students always give bad reviews? We don't care about how we spend our parents money either. The publishers are a mess. The Universities only care about money. This company's attitude continues, everyone else is an idiot. You rule though, thank goodness for that and how lucky the rest of the minions are.

Have you been following the news about Apple's latest iOS release? It's full of bugs. Would you say that Apple is a company that does not understand technology.

This is the digital world people.

I don't think phase 1 of the project was to deliver an unuseable app, and it improve it over time. If it was that is a flaw in thinking.

Always making excuses for poor performance and programs. Take responsibility. Was this created oversees? Give it to CNS they will show you how its done.

Poorly made app This app is difficult to use along with the fact that it deletes my books and when I have the books it deletes my progress. The book I am reading has font size variations in certian chapters but not other making some parts difficult to read. The pages are only pictures and not actual text making it odd to turn pages. The app constantly tells me it does not support text highlighting while trying to scroll and navigate the page. The menu interface is slow to use and even on my tablet the buttons are to small. I am never using this app again.

40183 you are new regime of Follett aren't you? Are you looking down on McDonald's employees? How typical. And back to the subject. Not all students give bad reviews to apps. Maybe youd need therapy for thou continues to poison thyself with KOOL AID.

Students always give bad reviews to homework or class work apps. Also, software companies, even the best, have bugs and release iterative versions. I'm guessing many of you no longer have jobs because you don't realize this. I'd have to agree with the other person who posted by saying it may be time for you to move on. I'm sure there's a mcdonalds hiring in your neighborhood.

The reviews are brutal! If the goal was to release a universally loathed app; Mission Accomplished!

Slow, frequent huge lag spikes, super dooper uber glitchy, but other than that, it's an okay app

Maybe you should do the job right in the first place. Scope should be cut and deliver a damn working application. That is how Follett does it, deliver an app that does not even work. Wait for the next iteration? Tell that to the students who bought one of the ebooks from Follett. Who made the decision to launch a defective product in the marketplace, one that was rebranded as something new to get rid of the sins of the past.

Getting on your nerves are we? We're not bitter. Okay maybe some of us. But you must admit EVERYTHING with Follett technology is horrendous. How come other apps don't have the same problems out of the gate? The registers have been freezing for years. I always know when rush is almost here because that's when the problems begin. Computers are slow as shi!. Seriously though there are some really awesome people that work for this company but I don't think it's you.

A new version was already submitted to the App Store, which fixes the issues. You all really are a bunch of bitter people. Some really great people work at Follett and things are not as bad as you want them to be. Grow up and move on.

The next iteration should be scheduled for August 2525. Improvements include: 1. Book downloads will be reduced from 12 hours to six hours. 2. Turning pages will take less than ten minutes. 3. Crashing will occur every 20 minutes on schedule rather than randomly 6 times an hour.
