Follett must follow GAAP because banks and others require certified financial statements. Get a brain before you speak.

Well some people just want a job. If you are a low level who cares. That's should be your choice. But there are people who want promotions who are clueless. Management writes them off the promotion list and keeps them where they are playing mental games with them but never help them grow. That management likes having complacent people under them that will do as they say and not question them. If you have people with more skills and backbone they may disagree with you!

Because its a privately owned company, they do not have to follow GAAP; which means they can hire the most incompetent people that call themselves accountants. Follett is a place where people go to be satisfied with never growing or being challenged.

You'd be surprised how many in accounting don't even possess the skill contained within the very name of the department. Fingers and toes only get you so far in life, but at Follett, they get you a career!
