Let me tell you the difference between Exempt and Non Exempt. Exempt employees make a lot more money. When we was Exempt Paygrade 9 topped out right about 81K a year. Paygrade 11 topped out right about 90k a year. (3 years ago) Non Exempt Paygrade 10 topped out around 55K. It gets better. Paygrade 13 (GL) topped around at 99K a year. Paygrade 17 (SGLs) topped out around 117k a year. Paygrade 24 (GMs) topped out around 144K. Now keep in mind that they are in average about 20K below top out, but they get bonuses to work you like a dog and keep a Union out. They don't want some warehouse or Technician to destroy their good ride. Exempts stick together. These are all 2011 numbers, sure they have been pushed north. The whole scale usually changes about 4500 per Paygrade.
