I have been gone from Follett for one year and there are now only three people left at Home Office I knew back then...CW, HT and JH. What does that say? Have they figured out how not to get Mary Lee'd? Or do they worry every time they walk in the door? Anybody know what is really going on? Cannot believe Fred is gone... He was in it for more than 20 years...

Did someone really point to CW, HT, and JH as good? MAYBE JH. The rest? Old school cronies to their own detriment. There would be no "Mary Lee" if these folks had done a better job.

They state it is to top heavy and keep hiring friends which means more Follett employees well be "resigning". They couldn't make Sears and Kmart work so now they are going to create mini KMart stores and label them gift stores. Students have the least disposable income and gift stores are not high on their list to use what little income they have if they had done any marketing research first. Still they can afford to pay big salaries to the new comers, soaking Follett for what they can get out.

Anybody know what is really going on? Increase the value of the family held stock. Everyone except Mary Lee’s sycophants start each day wondering if today is the day they’ll be Mary Lee’d. Great for morale. Only her bootlickers are feeling good. Why not? Make really bad moronic decisions and blame associates that had nothing to do with the senior management decisions – yell at them that they better fix it, YOU OWN IT. Pathetic bastards. Mary Lee has focused on FHEG, wait till she starts working her magic at FSS. The family members seem to have lost a bit of their strut!

They want all new, in all core departments. It will be little concern after Rush numbers, some news hires may be going too.
I am still amazed that the family thinks that cutting severance checks to Follett people and then bringing in the Kfarts at the same or more salary will long term make the company money. Nothing is being done differently folks!
Chopping minorities and those over a certain age bracket bit by bit. GET AN ATTORNEY FOLKS! Follett is definitely transforming, and not in the best interest of employees/customers.
I've heard it's just a matter a time. I hope they have a back up plan in the works.
