Thread regarding Target Corp. layoffs

I'm not sure if anyone is denying layoffs will happen. We wouldn't be on this site if we were that confident and secure about our jobs. And this coming from the guy who wrote the "Someday" post. The way that the rumors were being conveyed on and off, and especially this week, is indeed worthy of ridicule and satire. People weren't using their brains. The logical leaps were getting out of hand. But I'm glad to see we have the thinkers back, i.e. the last few posters who have made perfectly reasonable statements as to why but not pretending to know exactly when and who (I'm skeptical of the "very reliable source" post, so I'm only referring to the others).
