@808 Follett instituted a new hiring program where all applications must come online. Only the store manager can see the application because it shows the store manager's entire salary history. And only the store manager can enter requisitions for jobs. Once the requisition is entered, it takes up to 3 weeks for the job to appear as active and allow applications to be submitted. It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of.
PS. A post I put up yesterday is gone today. I was asking about textbook disposal mandates and asking if anyone thought that was related to Follett's decision to lay off people and position itself to be sold, but it's gone.
