Not to make excuses or anything... but most people go on Trustpilot to complain. If you look up an actual Waterstones store on Google, most reviews are stellar.
All I learned from the Waterstones booksellers petition article is that booksellers are being screwed everywhere these days, but especially here in the US and nobody even cares to start a petition out of fear of retaliation. I loved the part about a bookseller mentioning they had to take on a 2nd job to make ends meet. Most booksellers at B&N and elsewhere in the US have two or three jobs already and then hardly get by. At least they still have the NHS in the UK, unlike booksellers here.

The Waterstone boys and girls are going to look at the books, and see how management screwed everything up.
If Waterstones is so “great”
Explain why the booksellers had to get a petition together to ask for a fair wage, just 2 months ago ?

I worked for Waterstones, they were a great company.
Stores looked beautiful, too.
I hope all the DMs and SMs shove those Worthless Member Cards up their fat and boney lying asses.
In April 2019, Waterstones’ staff petitioned corporate for a livable ( over minimum wage) wage.
