Oracle is driving out anyone with talent, why would anyone stay somewhere when you never knew if this paycheck will be your last, or if you'll get laid off to save paying you RSU's? The only people staying are those to afraid/complacent to find something better.
That leaves Oracle as an entire company of B-Team players competing against the best companies in a high stakes game. No wonder they are getting their asses kicked.

You only pay for talent if you intend to be around for a while, that’s not the plan here. Why is it so difficult for you people to understand that? Smell the coffee, Oracle is being liquidated. Under the best of circumstances it’s going to be a niche cloud DB provider to SaaS apps, one with declining market share at that so even that gig has an end date. Now much as you might want to stay at Oracle and be well treater here, that’s not an option. Revise your resume and focus on finding a job somewhere else. Go, go, go! There is no time to lose!
