Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

More Layoffs and Harassment

When is this stuff ever going to stop? Working days, nights, weekends is taking a huge toll on health and family. When will this stop!

How much more layoffs are out there? We lost so many people this week. A lot of desks are empty and the work load just tripled. I feel so depressed like a slave.

Who can help us?

-2ufu: Your comment "both are somewhat more significant than a neti pot." A neti pot is a sinus irrigator. Even me with the English as a third language knows that.

Pride is capitalizing the beginning of a sentence and in fact, using complete sentences so as to not be misunderstood, though in this case, there is no doubt of your meaning.

I come from the America that put men on the moon and actually has indoor plumbing as a standard and not an outlier... both are somewhat more significant than a neti pot.

-2dhk Does it bother you that a company like HI that gets all the tax incentives of having its HQ in the US seems to despise its American workforce? Does it bother you that American employees of that company don't like being dumped on while foreign workers are taking their jobs? American pride? Maybe if people in management at HI had some they'd take better care of their American workforce.

-2otn While you're looking up redneck in the dictionary perhaps you should look up "quisling"

I've had two foreign born managers in my 36 year Honeywell career. One from Egypt and the other from India with both of them being USA naturalized citizens. They were both great people to work with, fair, had great senses of humor and in my opinion did an excellent job.

-2dhk: Please don't take one comment as representative of all USA citizens. Look up the word "redneck" and it might explain it further.

You have a manager from India? Since when did we start getting managers from India? When will Americans stand up for Americans?

Hey kid, you need to stop letting yourself getting pushed around. Find a new American company. By Americans for Americans. You can help yourself and your family. Don't do anything that is illegal and let yourself get pushed around.

This company will fall and the management knows it. That's why they are pushing people around so that they can cash out on their bonus which is stuck in the stocks. Don't let that manager of yours smack you around. They are not nice and they are morally bankrupt. Don't let them feed off of your kindness, politeness and nice behavior. They see you as an id--t that can be pushed around and they will even do more. They will get what is coming to them when it is their time. Justice has a funny way of serving people their dues when it is their time.

For now, drive on and move on. Best regards!

It is no longer a U.S. company and U.S. employees are being shown the door. Run by India, Mexico and Canadians. There is no future for you if you are a U.S. employee and if you think otherwise you are either young or terribly naive. The labor laws in the U.S. do not protect or provide the benefits required by law in other countries. They can get rid of you easily. Can’t wait to leave this horrible company. All they do is take take take. When do you recall any benefit being added. The unlimited vacation is a farce. Latest to be taken is MIP. And that was something you could look forward to as you advanced in your career. Now what is there? As you advance you make more and are more likely to be replaced. Takes 3 India guys to do same job as one U.S. person but they would rather pay the 3. id--ts in management. I liked my U.S. manager but now mine is in India and I can’t understand half of what he says! I’m ready to go and actively looking.

OP, do yourself and your family a favor and just leave Honeywell. It's not going to get better. Even if it means you have to uproot your family and relocate for a better job it's worth it. I did it and I'm so much happier. More money, better job, better benefits, no petty harassment by psychopathic sadist managers and executives. Leave and tell everybody why. The only way they'll get the message is if nobody wants to work there anymore even their precious new grads.

Sorry but nobody hears your screams.

The upper management at HON are nothing but sadists, and they get satisfaction from your misery.

Just being realistic, not trying to be mean, or anything.
