I got an offer from Oracle recently. Not sure if I should take it or not but I have question on performance reviews. How does Oracle performance reviews and ratings happens amid all these layoffs. ?

My boss was doing same thing. He wanted me to quit, to keep his yes-men, rather than the person who knew the code. Oracle s---s. Get out if you can.
managers fill performance reviews for everyone. That is required to be done. However , your salary changes and options and so on has nothing to do with that performance review.
Absolutely false. I didn't get review for 3 years from one manager. There is no one out their requiring them. If you are getting real reviews, then you are in a better place than I was, honestly, from the votes on here, it looks like getting reviewed is rare.
I worked in Oracle's Public Cloud for 2.5 years starting in June of 2014.
Never one performance review.
Never a discussion of a raise and I was one of the top engineers on their security team.
Oracle s---s. Truly the most miserable place I've ever worked -- and I was 100% remote.

Work somewhere else if you get an offer. If you are in the wrong department managers will chase you out. They are not above board in many areas and if you get to close Management will turn up the heat if they think they can’t trust you. If you just want to clock in and clock out and march to orders take the job. If not, keep walking. I have had to put up with my coke head co-worker that I have listened to snort in the bathroom and managers love him because he is just as filthy as them.
Performance reviews at Oracle are a big joke. They have no connection to anything and are just done as a ‘cover my a--’ exercise to minimize litigation risks. Go work someplace better, which by definition is any other company out there. Good luck!

if you are in critical path and doing the work of 5 other people, you can go to your boss and ask for adjustment and you will get it. If you are one of the freeloaders you wont. Simple as that.

Performance reviews are not important. Many managers are not even required to fill out reviews. There is no requirement for them to be done. Many people haven't had a review for years.
Managers lay off the people that they are most afraid of. People who s--- up to their manager and are dumber than their manager are safest in terms of layoffs. Layoff has nothing to do with an employee's performance.
There's no connection between performance reviews, rating and future raises or promotions. The ratings are only as valid as your immediate manager and often aren't even performed in some orgs. The layoff's aren't related to performance reviews but they're done on a regular basis, no public notices (except WARN type where legally required) and no comments about layoffs internally. If you got lots of money and RSU's in your offer - take it an keep looking for another job while you milk the fatted cow.
