OCI uptake is not healthy and is only happening at a tiny fraction of projections. This is putting MASSIVE pressure on Dee Jay and his management team to deliver. It is. It happening and thus the layoffs are happening as a result.
Plenty of people in Seattle office are overpaid ex-AWS and MSFT people who did very little while at those companies. Grungy millennials with few skills who are over-rated and demanded (and got) double and triple the pay they were worth.
The chickens are coming home to roost as these folks are under-delivering and management is figuring out how badly they messed up hiring all of these gold-rush-diggers. Now the worthless ones who contribute little are getting axed, along with the worthless Dyn team in New Hampshire.
As was said the rats are scurrying around the deck trying to maintain and find new homes, but most won’t. Many will return to their old homes at AWS and MSFT to s--- off of those te ats. They will manage there for awhile because their worthlessness will be disguised by the growth of those companies.
Ultimately Oracle will be better off without many of these worthless, overpaid coddles millennials who don’t do squat.
Just take a look at the Seattle office. Empty at 9 AM, and empty again at 3:30 or 4 PM. These worthless code monkeys don’t even bother to put in a half-day’s work, yet are making $250K+ and options.
Good riddance. It’s all Dee Jay’s and CM’s and Vee Nay’s fault !!
