How long can we expect the changes and shifts to go on in the US. Isn’t there a point where all that needs to be changed is changed and where everything is restructured. When can we stop being worried to this degree about changes taking place, in which we grab the bitter end., or maybe this is a constant process that begins all over again the moment that it’s finished.

Based internal level of expertise, It has got the potential to go down quicker than GE. To be monitored
If this is the way they treat employees in a booming economy, I would hate to be around when it goes south.
Chaos is part of the plan, and you being anxious about your job is how they manipulate you. It's not ever going to end. If there's any justice, there's a special place in hell for the people running this company the way they do.
No
It will not end until
HON
goes down the
toilet just like
how GE did
Financial guys in charge. Only know numbers, and some dont even know that. They report to WS.
Turmoil is how these people survive -- it's hard to hit a moving target. "Back in the day" stability was valued, but those times are long gone. If things stay stable for years or decades, it's pretty easy to see who's screwing the pooch, but more importantly, who isn't. There was a time when Honeywell valued the ones who were able to deliver in a stable system over many years. That was then and this is now.
The goal is to have 2 Employees in the US. The President of Honeywell and his chauffeur.
Just read this analysis by Morningstar. Honeywell is going to keep the war on fixed costs and that includes employee related costs.

You are experiencing a "Functional Transformation" from a Hardware focused US based conglomerate to a Software, Intellectual Property, Outsourcing and Offshoring of Legacy hardware Transnational Entity. It will be complete when there is only the Board Of Directors and the Corporate Officers on the payroll. Honeywell is a Brand in name only. I'm not kidding. The trends clear over the last 2 decades. Leadership....err Management only knows how to cut, slash and burn. They have completely eliminated the tried and true methods of bringing new products to market in a timely fashion. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
