Heard from folks in China that, when Oracle shut down CDC, it gives out N(1 month/per year) + 6(months) for the severance package, if you sign the the agreement.
Any detail for the severance package in US?

Labor law in the US doesn't require a penny of severance pay. Smaller employers will usually just pay your last paycheck and kick you out the door.
Labor law in China does not require n+6. Seems oracle volunteers to do it.
Flashback to how my O colleagues would piss and moan about all the holidays that the APAC emps got, and how the entire EMEA team would be on ‘holiday’ every August. Saying they were lazy and somehow not as good as the AMERICAN emps, who would proudly stack up vacation until the accrual was suspended, and work off the clock.
Working yourself into health issues and busted relationships (like divorce), and bragging about it is a uniquely American attitude, which management is more than happy to exploit. No one can trade advantage of you without your consent.
